Free text match cut generator
This free text match cut maker produces the newspaper clipping effect that fills short-form feeds β rapid frames where one word stays pinned in place while the newspaper page around it changes. Type a phrase, pick a shape, and download the video.
Everything is generated on your device with the browser's own canvas and video encoder. There is no account, no watermark, and no upload, so nothing you type is ever sent anywhere.
How to use
- Type your phrase above β the keyword is what every cut centres on.
- Choose 9:16 for Reels and Shorts, 1:1 for a square post, or 16:9 for YouTube.
- Turn cuts per second up for a frantic montage, down to read the words.
- Tap π¬ Make video, then download it when the render finishes.
What makes it work
Each frame is a different procedurally generated front page, but your keyword is always drawn at the identical point on screen. A radial lens blur keeps that point sharp and lets the rest of the page fall away, so the eye locks onto one word even though everything around it is moving. Randomness is seeded from your phrase, so the same words give you the same video until you hit Shuffle.
Tips
- Short words read best. A long keyword shrinks to fit and can look cramped at 9:16.
- 12 cuts/second is the sweet spot. Above 18 the individual pages stop registering.
- Blur 0 gives a clean newspaper look with no vignette, if you want the flat clip instead.
- Renders in real time, so on a slower phone allow a few extra seconds.
