About ToolSewa

ToolSewa ("sewa" = service) is a collection of free online tools for everyday tasks — editing photos, converting image formats, compressing images, making passport-size photos, removing backgrounds, working with PDFs, trimming audio & video, converting Bikram Sambat dates, and generating QR codes.

Why ToolSewa exists

Many everyday tasks in Nepal and India — applying for a Loksewa or government job, preparing a passport photo, converting a BS date on a citizenship certificate — need a quick digital tool. Most "free" tool websites require signups, add watermarks, limit you to a few uses per day, or upload your personal documents to a server somewhere.

ToolSewa is different:

100% free — every tool, unlimited use, no premium tier.
No signup — open the page and start working.
No watermarks — your downloads are clean.
Private by design — every tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Your photos, PDFs and videos are never uploaded to any server.
Mobile-first — built for phones, because that's how most of Nepal and India is online.

How the site is funded

ToolSewa is free to build and free to run: it's a plain static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages (free tier), with no servers or databases. To keep it free forever, the site shows a small number of Google AdSense advertisements. That's the only revenue — your data is never sold, because it's never collected (see our Privacy Policy).

Open technology

The tools are built with free, open-source JavaScript libraries running in your browser: Cropper.js for image editing, pdf-lib and jsPDF for PDF tools, FFmpeg.wasm for video, and the Web Audio API for audio trimming. No app to install, no account to create.
